Investigation unveils team Williams (and others) getting into the future of racing. Trialling time machine tech.

UFO Over Earth.JPGAs some of you may have noticed at the beginning of the race last Sunday, Sora disappeared soon after race start. With spectators left confused and bewildered and the racing field left wondering as they got on with the race, we decided to do some digging.

First we had to track down Soras car. We searched all over the pits but couldn't see any evidence of its where abouts. So, grasping at straws we decided to go to the media hall where all the live race footage comes in to look at the disappearance again. Reviewing the footage there wasn't much to make out other than a white flash of light and Sora was gone. With no other leads to follow up on we're out of ideas.

Giving up we started watching the live race feeds coming in from around the track to see who was in the lead. Was about lap 4 and reports were saying rain was imminent. My camera man then noticed on one of the live feeds Sora being wheeled back into his garage! Quickly rewinding the feed we watched as we saw Soras car appear out of no where in a flash of light and come to a screeching halt in the pit box, with full wet tyres on. Strange we thought, so we both headed over to the Williams pits to see what was going on.

Upon arrival and seeing the drenched car parked in the garage with worn full wet tyres, we asked one of the pit crew what on earth was going on.

"Oh, well, the tech is still hush hush you see but we're not the first team to be running experimental temporal generators."

"You talking about time travel!?"

"Ssh! Look all I'll say is two things. First, you know that "nobody" fella over at Renault and "Modz" over in Mercedes? Yeah, go back a few races and see all the times when drivers thought they're racing them but they actually weren't, there's your evidence of them developing the same tech. Second, with this new tech obviously abusing a loophole in the current FIA 2011 rules we thought we'd cover our bases and start developing our own, just in case it starts providing better results this year and in the possible event this sort of thing gets ratified for the 2012 rules."

"Obviously we've still some work to do in getting the circuits car tracking system to recognise each lap Sora did. But the fact he finished a whole GP in under 5 'our time' laps we've got a good foundation to build from. Who knows, maybe next race we'll win before the rest even starts! haha"

So there you have it folks, seems we've uncovered the reason for all these oddities of late and possibly gotten a sneak peak at what the 2012 season holds.
