About
Lambo's foray into racing games was quite late having come from the FPS generation. It would be well into his early 20's before he would take up any sort of motorsport game, but once he had, he was hooked. Lambo's first taste of racing was at university when a group of keen enthusiast gamers decided to partake in a round of Geoff Crammond's 'Grand Prix IV'. Not owning a wheel at the time he borrowed one, and even tho he was easily beaten at that first race he was hooked. It was soon after that he purchased his first steering wheel, the Logitech Formula. Despite the fact it had no force feedback, used the game port connection and not USB, had a big spring to center the wheel and would occasionally twitch like crazy, it would be the catalyst for an ongoing love affair with gaming motorsport.
Competitive on-line racing started with V8 Supercars with a group of loyal and dedicated racers from the Atomicmpc forums, moving to V8 Supercars 2 to the sequel, and finally now to F1 2010. Lambo can boast being the first championship winner and one of the key founders of the Atomic F1 Championship which is now proudly into its 3rd season.
With 14 wins from 46 starts and a healthy 34 podiums, Lambo is a regular points finisher who despite tripping on a few hurdles this season is very much in the hunt to secure a 2nd championship.
