Atomicf1.com is the home of the Atomic F1 racing league. We, the most of us anyway, hail from www.atomicmpc.com.au but new league members from elsewhere are welcome. You just need ot introduce yourself on the forums.
This site reports the happenings of the F1 2010 / F1 2011 competition run for atomicmpc.com.au members. Content for the site is written based on events occurring within races held for this competition and the associated happenings occuring on the various threads for this competition, found at the atomicmpc.com.au forums. I've continued the style of written originally started in these threads, treating this 'competition' as if it were real Formula 1, and writting about it from that perspective.
I've taken 'artistic liberty' with some of writings, to give it some more of the tension and drama that exists within real Formula 1, including the politics and other off track activity. That 'artistic liberty' extends only to using adjectives and phrases that magnify the intensity of what's happening within this competition.
This site is for entertainment purposes and is intended to add another dimension to the 'Live the life' brand Codemasters use to market their F1 2010 game.
Various statistics are available based on the race results of rounds of the competition. Results are capture via screenshots and FRAPS and are updated immediately after the conclusion of the day's racing (give or take 10 to 15 minutes).
This site also contains a number of guides for each circuit, as well as general guides on how to go faster.
Some basics about the competition:
- Our competition is friendly and fierce
- We only allow spring settings at a maximum of 8/8, until the 11/11 spring defect is fixed in Patch 2 of F1 2011
- This is a competition for the PC version of F1 2011 only
- Races are generally held every Sunday night at 8:00pm +11 GMT (Sydney, Australia time)
- Races are 50% in the length
- There is only one division. When there are more than 16 drivers entering a particular race, we run pre-qualifying on a Thursday night, in which any new comers and the bottom half of the previous race will have to compete and register a race. Only the qualifying times count toward pre-qualification. The fastest 8 drivers will qualify for the main race on Sunday.
